The soles of the mukluk boots are the biggest give away to a knock off. Authentic muks have a flexible, moldable crepe sole that is stitched directly to the suede or leather part of the foot. China knock offs have a thick rubber sole that is imprinted with the size and is glued to the foot part of the sole.
